Sereno

PRIVACY

Privacy Policy

Effective July 28, 2026

Our approach

Sereno can be used without an account and without advertising. If you choose to create an account, Sereno processes the information described below to authenticate you and synchronize your learning progress. We do not sell or rent personal information.

Information stored on your device

Sereno stores learning progress, streak activity, preferences, custom decks, placement results, and saved study positions locally on your device. This information provides the app’s study features even when you are not signed in.

Removing the app may remove this locally stored information, depending on your device and backup settings.

Optional account and cloud synchronization

If you create an account, Sereno processes your email address and authentication information through Supabase Auth. Sereno does not receive or store your plain-text password.

While you are signed in, learning progress may be synchronized to Supabase. Synchronized data can include mastery and answer history, streak activity, custom decks, placement results, learning-path progress, saved study positions, and timestamped study events. This information is linked to your Sereno account so it can be restored across your devices.

Service providers

Sereno uses Supabase to provide account authentication, database synchronization, and hosted learning media. Supabase processes data on our behalf to provide these services and is not permitted by us to use Sereno account data for advertising.

Audio and device features

Sereno uses bundled pronunciation audio and may use your device’s built-in speech service when bundled audio is unavailable. Sereno does not record audio and does not request microphone access.

Analytics, tracking, and advertising

Sereno does not include third-party advertising, behavioral tracking, or cross-app tracking. Learning records are used to provide study features and synchronize progress, not for advertising.

Children’s privacy

Sereno is an SAT study product and is not directed to children under 13. A child under the age at which parental consent is required in their location should use account features only with a parent or guardian’s permission.

Account deletion and retention

A signed-in user can open Profile, choose Delete account, and permanently delete the Sereno account and its synchronized learning data. Account-linked progress and study events are deleted with the account. Data already stored locally on a device remains until the user resets learning progress, removes the app, or clears the app’s data.

Support emails are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to answer the request and maintain ordinary support records.

Changes to this policy

If Sereno’s data practices change, this policy will be updated before the new practices take effect. The effective date above identifies the current version.
